SigEp Memphis Hosts Fall Events
/Earlier this fall, the SigEp Memphis Alumni Association hosted three events that brought together alums, undergraduates and guests.
On Saturday, September 26, the annual Jimmy Fouts Memorial Golf Tournament was held at Quail Ridge Golf Course in Bartlett. The tournament drew 75 participants which made up 18 teams. Taking first place for the second year in a row was the team of Chris Babb ’09, Pete Peterson ’09, Nolan Robinson ’11 and Brett Walker ’09. While the competition was spirited, the day was more about getting to spend time with brothers.
The annual Alumni Fall Party took place on Friday, October 16 at the East Memphis home of Ted and Jan Donaldson. It was a cool night but the traditional fish fry warmed things up. Alums from all eras came out to enjoy food, drink and fellowship.
The following morning of Saturday, October 17, the Alumni Association hosted its second annual Alumni Tailgate. It was a festive scene prior to the Memphis Tigers showdown with the Ole Miss Rebels. Bill Williams ’64 opened up his RV spot on Tiger Lane and James Rudolph ’02 cooked up breakfast. Several alums tailgated at the spot leading up to the game while many more alums stopped to say hello. Many alums also hung around after the Tigers huge win to celebrate well into the night.
